Scan QR Code
Read a QR code with the camera or from an image. The contents are shown before anything opens.
A QR code is just a picture of a link, and you cannot tell where it leads by looking at it. That is the whole problem with the codes stuck on parking meters, restaurant tables and payment stickers. This scanner reads the code and shows you the text it contains, so you decide whether to open it.
How to use it
- Tap Scan with the camera and point the back camera at the code.
- Read what the code contains — a link, a Wi-Fi network, a phone number.
- Open it, copy it, or close the page and ignore it.
Common questions
Does the camera image get uploaded?
No. The video stays in the browser and is read frame by frame on your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.
Why show the link instead of just opening it?
Because a QR sticker can be replaced. Fake codes on parking meters and payment terminals are common, and the only defence is reading the address before you tap it.
Can it read a code from a screenshot?
Yes. Choose a QR image instead of using the camera, and pick any photo or screenshot that contains the code.
- Files are never sent to a server
- Free, no account and no watermark
- Runs even on an older phone
