Convert Image

Change JPG, PNG and WebP between formats without uploading a file.

Save as

Format conversion solves compatibility problems. A WebP saved from a website will not open in older software, HEIC photos from an iPhone confuse Windows machines, and some upload forms accept nothing but JPG. Converting rewrites the file in a format the other side understands.

How to use it

  1. Choose the image you need in a different format.
  2. Pick the format you want — JPG, PNG or WebP.
  3. Save the converted file.

Common questions

Which format should I pick?

JPG for photos and for anything an old system has to read. PNG when you need a transparent background or crisp text and lines. WebP for the web, where it is smaller than both.

Does converting lose quality?

Converting to JPG or WebP re-encodes the image and loses a little detail. Converting to PNG does not, but the file will be considerably larger.

What happens to transparency?

JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become white. Choose PNG or WebP if the transparent background matters.
