Compress Image
Shrink JPG, PNG and WebP on your own phone. Files never leave your device.
Most upload limits are the reason anyone compresses a photo: a government form that refuses anything over 200 KB, a job portal capped at 1 MB, a WhatsApp group that will not take the original. This tool tries to reach your chosen size and shows the before and after. Some targets cannot be reached without losing too much quality.
How to use it
- Choose the photo you need to make smaller.
- Review the target size and output format, then tap Compress now.
- Check the result, then save it to your device.
Common questions
How does it hit an exact size?
For JPG and WebP, it searches for the highest quality that fits your target. PNG does not support this quality adjustment. If the target cannot be reached, a warning appears.
Will the photo look worse?
Some. Compression works by discarding detail, so a heavy reduction shows on skin, sky and text. The preview is there so you can decide before saving.
Does it rotate my photo wrongly?
No. Photos from phone cameras carry an orientation tag, which this reads and applies, so a portrait photo stays portrait instead of flipping on its side.
Is the original changed?
Never. The file on your phone is untouched — you get a new, smaller copy and keep the original.
- Files are never sent to a server
- Free, no account and no watermark
- Runs even on an older phone
